Thank you to all those who honored me with your vote. Over 3000 votes were cast in support of my candidacy. I missed the run-off by 83 votes out of 10,300 in a spirited race.
During the campaign, I had the unique opportunity to get to know my opponents under very competitive conditions. The individuals going forward, Bryan Daniels and Dee Hobbs, are good decent men. It was an honor and pleasure to compete against them and both are outstanding candidates who worked very hard to earn the votes they received.
Both gentlemen have sought out my endorsement in an honorable fashion. I have informed both that, whoever wins in the fall, they will have my enthusiastic support. Both have a solid conservative philosophy and experience to ably represent our State Representative district.
I have decided after considerable thought to endorse
Dee Hobbs. Dee has historic ties to the District which gives him great insight into the needs of the communities in the district. Dee has performed in a superb fashion as a public servant in our County. Dee has employed his conservative philosophy as Chief Prosecutor in the County Attorney's office to maintain the firm, fair enforcement and respect for our laws. Dee has shown personal initiative to make the criminal, legal process more efficient to save tax-payers money. These characteristics will serve the district well if Dee is elected State Representative.
I thank God for protecting my health during the Primary campaign and ask for his protection and guidance of these two young men in their primary run-off campaign.
